What Held in Memory is for

The service is designed to feel gentle at a difficult time. An account holder can begin with a name and important dates, save the memorial as a draft, and return to add a life story, timeline, captions and photographs. No technical skills are required to manage the page.

A finished memorial has one address that can be shared directly. You can open the complete example memorial to see the visitor experience before creating one.

Control stays with the account holder

The person managing the memorial chooses its visibility and can change that setting later:

• Public: anyone can view the page, and search engines may include it in results.
• Link only: anyone with the address can view it, but the page is marked so search engines should not index it.
• Private: only the account holder can view it while signed in.

Premium memorials can accept visitor tributes, but each submission waits for the account holder’s approval before it appears. Account holders can also edit their memorial, hide it, or schedule it for deletion. A deletion request hides the page immediately and can be cancelled from the account; permanent removal is currently paused while recoverable storage is verified.

Your stories and photographs remain yours

You keep ownership of the content you add. Held in Memory receives only the permission needed to store, resize and display that content as part of the service. The full responsibilities are explained in the Terms of Use.

An online memorial should not be the only copy of irreplaceable material. Keep the original photographs, documents and story text somewhere you control as well.

Clear pricing, without a subscription

The Free plan requires no payment and includes up to five photographs, a life story, dates, timeline and all three visibility settings. Premium is a one-time $49 AUD payment per memorial and adds the writing assistant, up to 50 photographs, moderated visitor tributes and a personalised downloadable QR card.

Held in Memory is an Australian online memorial service with Australian spelling, date formats and prices in Australian dollars. The service is available directly to families and also provides information for Australian funeral directors.

Held in Memory is the public name of the service at heldinmemory.com.au. Its published support contact is support@heldinmemory.com.au. Email that address for help with an account, memorial, payment, privacy request or ownership concern.

Support is provided by email; no phone-support hours or 24-hour response time are promised. Please do not send a password, card details or sensitive memorial information unless it is necessary to investigate the request.
