A simple handover to the family

1

Purchase credits

Once your partner account is approved, buy Premium memorial credits through secure Stripe Checkout. Purchased credits currently have no scheduled expiry; the service availability terms still apply.

2

Invite a family

Enter the family contact’s name and email and the name of the person being remembered. One credit is reserved and Held in Memory sends the secure invitation.

3

The family takes control

The family accepts through their own account, builds the memorial in their own time and controls its content, privacy and tributes. Your dashboard records only the invitation status.

What your family contact sees

A warm invitation, ready to send

Held in Memory sends the secure claim link and explains the family’s choices clearly. Your staff do not need to create a memorial page, collect photographs or provide technical support.

  • The family pays nothing to accept
  • The secure invitation remains open for 30 days
  • Pending invitations can be resent without another credit
  • An expired invitation returns its reserved credit automatically

An invitation from your funeral home

A memorial, provided with care

Your Funeral Home has provided your family with a Premium online memorial where a life story, photographs and tributes can be kept together.

There is nothing to pay. You create it with your own account, choose who can see it and remain the only person who can edit it.

Why funeral homes offer it

A meaningful addition

A shared memorial page extends remembrance beyond the service and gives families something they can keep building over time.

Minimal administration

One short invitation form per family. No pages for your staff to build, content to maintain or family passwords to manage.

Considerate recognition

With the family’s choice, a small acknowledgement can explain which funeral home made their Premium access available.

Complements your service

It can sit beside funeral notices, livestreaming and printed materials without replacing them or changing your existing process.

QR artwork for print

Every Premium memorial includes downloadable QR artwork that the family can use on orders of service, memorial cards and keepsakes.

A practical inclusion

Partner pack pricing makes a complete Premium memorial practical to include in a service package or provide separately.

What the family receives

A full Premium memorial, normally $49 AUD when purchased directly, with nothing for the invited family to pay:

  • A written life story, with gentle writing assistance
  • A timeline of the moments that mattered
  • Up to 50 photographs, framed and captioned
  • Visitor tributes, approved by the family before publication
  • Privacy controls: public, link-only or private
  • Personalised downloadable QR artwork
  • Family ownership and control, with no partner access

Optional partner acknowledgement

Your support can be recognised, while the family stays in control.

A claimed memorial may show a small acknowledgement near the bottom using your approved public business name, logo and website. The family decides whether it appears and can hide or restore it at any time.

The acknowledgement only explains who made Premium access available. It does not mean your funeral home owns, manages, wrote, approved or endorses the memorial, and it never gives you access to family or visitor information.

Optional and controlled by the family. The funeral home does not control the memorial.

A calm dashboard for invitation tracking

Your staff see credit and invitation status, not memorial content.

The memorial belongs to the family, not the funeral home.

Families control their content, privacy and future edits. Your staff never receive the family’s password, editing access, private content, draft stories or tribute moderation. A partner account cannot delete a family’s memorial.

Questions funeral homes ask

Who creates the memorial?

The family does, with their own Held in Memory account. Your invitation covers the cost of their Premium memorial. Your staff do not build or edit the memorial.

Can our staff edit the memorial?

No. Directors can see whether an invitation was accepted, but never the family’s password, drafts, private content, tribute moderation or editing tools. That separation protects the family and your business.

What can appear about our funeral home?

If your organisation and branding are approved, a small acknowledgement near the bottom of a claimed memorial may show your approved public name, logo and website. The family decides whether it is visible and can hide or restore it at any time.

Does an acknowledgement mean we created the memorial?

No. It only explains who made Premium access available. It does not mean the funeral home owns, manages, wrote, approved or endorses the family’s memorial content.

How long does partner approval take?

We aim to review complete applications within one business day. We will contact you by email if we need more information or when a decision has been made.

What happens when an invitation expires?

Invitations stay open for 30 days. If one lapses, its reserved credit returns to your balance automatically and you can send a fresh invitation.

Do purchased credits expire?

Purchased credits currently have no scheduled expiry. The service availability terms still apply.

What happens if we stop using Held in Memory?

Closing your partner account does not remove or downgrade a memorial a family has already claimed. It remains Premium and under the family’s control, subject to the service availability provisions in our Terms of Use.

Can we resend an invitation?

Yes, while it is pending. The family receives a fresh secure link and a new 30-day window. Resending does not use another credit.

Can an existing Held in Memory user claim an invitation?

Yes. A family member with an existing account can sign in and accept. The Premium memorial is added alongside anything they already manage.

What information can the funeral home see?

Only what is needed to track the invitation: the contact name and email you entered, the name of the person being remembered, and whether the invitation is pending, claimed, expired or cancelled.

Does the family pay anything?

The family pays nothing to claim the invitation or use its included Premium access. One credit covers the direct $49 AUD one-time Premium price, with no subscription charge.

Can we purchase more credits at any time?

Yes. Approved partners can buy another credit pack through secure Stripe Checkout when they need it, with no subscription or minimum term.
