For funeral directors

Give every family an ongoing online memorial, without adding work for your staff.

Purchase Premium memorial credits at wholesale prices and invite each family in minutes. Held in Memory looks after the technology and supports the family. Your funeral home provides a remembrance service that continues long after the service ends.

How it works

1

Purchase credits

Buy a pack of Premium memorial credits through secure Stripe Checkout. Credits sit in your balance until you need them, with no subscription and no expiry under normal use.

2

Invite a family

Enter the family contact’s name and email. You can also add the name of the person being remembered. One credit is reserved and a warm invitation is emailed on your behalf.

3

The family creates and controls the memorial

The family accepts with their own account, builds the memorial in their own time and keeps complete control of its content, privacy and tributes. You simply see “claimed”.

Why funeral homes offer it

A meaningful addition

A shared memorial page extends remembrance beyond a one-day service and gives families something they can keep building over time.

Minimal administration

One short form per family. No content to build, no pages to maintain, no passwords to manage.

Support after the funeral

Families can keep adding photos and receiving tributes for months, while your funeral home is remembered as the provider.

Complements what you already do

Sits naturally beside funeral notices, livestreaming and printed materials rather than replacing them.

QR artwork for service materials

Every Premium memorial includes downloadable QR artwork for orders of service, memorial cards and keepsakes.

A point of difference

A thoughtful inclusion that helps your funeral home stand apart. Wholesale pricing makes it practical to include in your packages.

What the family receives

A full Premium memorial (the same one families purchase directly for $49 AUD once per memorial) with nothing for the family to pay:

  • A written life story, with gentle writing assistance
  • A timeline of the moments that mattered
  • Up to 50 photographs, framed and captioned
  • Visitor tributes, moderated by the family
  • Privacy controls: public, link-only or private
  • A personalised QR card for the service
  • Family ownership and control, with no partner access or downgrade if your account closes

The memorial belongs to the family, not the funeral home.

Families control their content, privacy and future edits. Your staff never receive the family’s password, editing access, private content, draft stories or tribute moderation. A director account can never delete a family’s memorial. We believe that boundary is exactly why families will thank you for this.

Questions funeral homes ask

Who creates the memorial?

The family does, with their own free Held in Memory account. Your invitation simply covers the cost of their Premium memorial. Your staff never build or edit memorial pages.

Can our staff edit the memorial?

No. Families are told this clearly. Directors can see whether an invitation was accepted, but never the family’s password, drafts, private content, tribute moderation or editing tools. That separation protects both the family and your business.

What happens when an invitation expires?

Invitations stay open for 30 days. If one lapses, its reserved credit returns to your balance automatically and you can simply send a fresh invitation.

Do purchased credits expire?

No. Credits do not normally expire. They stay in your balance until you use them.

What happens if we stop using Held in Memory?

Closing your partner account does not remove or downgrade a memorial a family has already claimed. It remains Premium and under the family’s control for as long as Held in Memory operates.

Can we resend an invitation?

Yes, at any time while it is pending. The family receives a fresh secure link and a new 30-day window. Resending never uses another credit.

Can an existing Held in Memory user claim an invitation?

Yes. Families with an existing account simply sign in and accept; the Premium memorial is added alongside anything they already manage.

What information can the funeral home see?

Only what is needed to track the invitation: the contact name and email you entered, the optional name of the person being remembered, and whether the invitation is pending, claimed, expired or cancelled.

Does the family pay anything?

The family pays nothing to claim the invitation or keep its included Premium access. The credit covers the $49 AUD one-time price, with no subscription charge.

Can we purchase more credits at any time?

Yes. Credit packs are available whenever you need them through secure Stripe Checkout, with no subscription or minimum term.
